Mean-field interactions in evolutionary spatial games

چکیده
We introduce a mean-field term to an evolutionary spatial game model. Namely, we consider the of Nowak and May, based on Prisoner's dilemma, augment rules by self-consistent term. This way, agent operates local information from its neighbors nonlocal via coupling. simulate model construct steady-state phase diagram, which shows significant new features due term: while for steady states are characterized constant mean density cooperators, contains with continuous dependence payoff parameter. Moreover, changes nature transitions discontinuous jumps in first derivative. The main effects observed stationary states, parametrically close chaotic states: coupling drives such into chaos. Our approach can be readily generalized broad class games deterministic stochastic decision rules.

Non-local interactions in spatial evolutionary games
As a special case of symmetric game in which the players share a common payoff matrix, evolutionary game provides a suitable approach to model and explore the emergence of cooperative behavior in natural and social systems. The evolutionary spatial game (ESG) further specifies the payoff for each individual by both the payoff matrix M and the spatial dependence structure of the population on a ...
متن کاملMean Field Asymptotic of Markov Decision Evolutionary Games and Teams
We introduce Markov Decision Evolutionary Games with N players, in which each individual in a large population interacts with other randomly selected players. The states and actions of each player in an interaction together determine the instantaneous payoff for all involved players. They also determine the transition probabilities to move to the next state. Each individual wishes to maximize t...
متن کاملMean Field Games
We survey here some recent studies concerning what we call mean-field models by analogy with Statistical Mechanics and Physics. More precisely, we present three examples of our mean-field approach to modelling in Economics and Finance (or other related subjects. . . ). Roughly speaking, we are concerned with situations that involve a very large number of “rational players” with a limited inform...
متن کاملDiscrete mean field games
In this paper we study a mean field model for discrete time, finite number of states, dynamic games. These models arise in situations that involve a very large number of agents moving from state to state according to certain optimality criteria. The mean field approach for optimal control and differential games (continuous state and time) was introduced by Lasry and Lions [LL06a, LL06b, LL07]. ...
متن کاملMean-Potential Law in Evolutionary Games.
The Letter presents a novel way to connect random walks, stochastic differential equations, and evolutionary game theory. We introduce a new concept of a potential function for discrete-space stochastic systems. It is based on a correspondence between one-dimensional stochastic differential equations and random walks, which may be exact not only in the continuous limit but also in finite-state ...
